Cambridge has taken the opportunity to fully revise the original successful Spectrum Maths 8. This new edition is able to cater for a wider range of abilities. Revisions were made to the chapter sequence and the level of development within a chapter, and the exercises have been given two levels. Questions in the first level introduce the concepts of the section - they are straight forward in style and closely tied to the Worked Examples to ensure early success. The questions in the second level extend and broaden understanding - they involve more than one step, as well as explanations, applications, new concepts and links to previous topics. The theory uses colour extensively to highlight new ideas and to demonstrate important steps in the solutions to the Worked Examples. The material has been written to meet the requirements of both a classroom lesson and homework.
