Here comes the fearless granny gang,
The youngest eighty-two.
They leap down from their granny van,
And there's nothing they can't do!
A gleeful celebration of why grannies are great!
Through wonderfully rhythmical writing and exquisite illustrations, Judith Kerr OBE shows us that there is a lot more to this grang of grey-haired grannies than meets the eye! Full of charm and laugh-out-loud fun, this is a must for every child's bookshelf.

This is an odd book. It's written in the usual Judith Kerr style but it tells the story of a gang of grannies who do activities not typically associated with grandmothers such as lion taming and using pneumatic drills. That's all well and good and quite fun but the story really picks up when a gang of boys in hoodies robs a bakery and the grannies come armed to the rescue.  I didn't like the fact that there was a robbery and that a group of boys in hoodies were committing a robbery so I didn't read any further with my two-year-old. There's plenty of time for hearing (and worrying) about robberies when they are older. I prefer to keep it innocent at this stage.
