This DVD focuses on issues of adolescents in the foster care system, and features Stacey, who has run away from home because of sexual abuse by her mother's boyfriend. It examines Stacey's first experience with positive parenting and shows how her foster parents address adolescent sexuality, the struggle for independence, birthfamily conflicts, and the effective use of community resources. This video is one of three docudramas that make up the Ultimate Challenge: A Series of Foster Parent Training Videos. These videos realistically portray the challenge of effectively fostering children and youth who have experienced physical abuse, sexual abuse, alcohol and other drug exposure and use, neglect, and multiple placements.
