Poor Solomon is looking for some fun but no one wants to play. The dragonflies tell him to buzz off, the storks get in a flap, and the hippo? Well, the less said about the hippo, the better! But then somebody else starts causing trouble . . . and for once it is NOT Solomon. Could it be the perfect pal for a lonely crocodile? Solomon Crocodile is a snappy, happy, fun story with stunning artwork from the Kate Greenaway award-winning Catherine Rayner.

I read this to a group of 4yr olds. It was their first time hearing the story. They were engaged in the story, and enjoyed listening to it. We felt a bit sad for Solomon. As even though he was a pest, everyone was telling him to go away. The children loved the ending when someone else turned up that was causing trouble, and Solomon wasn't on his own then. The children enjoyed looking at the illustrations and telling me what the other animals and insects on the pages were

My son loves this book. Solomon Crocodile is annoying the other creatures in the vicinity. He is bored and annoying them for attention and hoping to find someone to play with. Sadly no one wants to play with him but all is not lost.

This is a lovely book. It's about a mischievous crocodile who who just wants to play. But everytime he wants to play, the animals say he's being a pest. My boy got upset for the crocodile, but he loved the ending. It's beautifully illustrated.

A lovely illustrated book about the tale of Solomon a Crocodile who seems to irritate most of the animals from splatting through the mud to making frogs jump, stalking the storks who get into a flap and much more!

All the animals find Solomon a pain all he wants is to play but then someone else manages to make the frogs jump and more, who could it be?

Soon Solomon has a partner in crime and much more fun to have!

A fun tale that all kids will enjoy and relate to as they feel lonely and have to make their own fun.

The first thing we liked about this book was the funky gold shiny bits all over Solomon, it made us want to read the book. We liked the cheeky croc getting into trouble and I thought the pictures portrayed him very well. S was feeling sporty for him when Solomon was sad and was very pleased when he finally found a friend to be cheeky with!
