We have revisited this story as a family and even second or third time around this series still has a magic too it. My son particularly likes this book as it is the introduction of Sirius Black his favourite character. We love the audio books and also reading the stories for ourselves. This one is a great story on its own, but you cant beat reading all the books too!

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is very similar to the first two books. I think the books though are getting scarier. The Dementors were creepy, they almost reminded me of aliens. I liked the Hippogriff, Buckbeak, he was one of my favourite magical creatures in the books up to this point. I liked the part with The Knight Bus - it was quite funny when it moved a massive farmhouse out of the way, when Harry was travelling on it away from the Dursleys' house. It was also hilarious, just before this, when Harry loses his temper and makes Aunt Marge blow up and float up into the air.The illustrations in the book are brilliant, they are incredibly detailed.

My son loves PoA especially Sirius Black.  This book is beautiful - it’s the first Hapy Potter illustrated book I’ve seen but I’m very impressed.  The pictures are fabulous and really add to the story.  I’ll definitely look at getting more of these.
