Lottie thought this book was really funny. With Peppa and George having to dress up in there favourite book for world book day. George is mad about dinosaurs so he was sorted but Peppa was struggling as she had to many favourite books. The outcome was really funny and Lottie laughed. Lottie said the end result of Peppa's dress up was her favourite part of the book. Brilliant book for little ones on world book day.

I read this book to my three year old and six year old.

The three year old (who it was targeted to) absolutely loved it.  He loves Peppa Pig and so loved the familiarity of the characters.  The story was simple to follow which was perfect for him and he found it very funny.

It was a bit of a simple story for my six year old though so he didn't enjoy it and said that it was babyish and boring.

Georgie loved this Peppa Pig book! She thought it was funny that Peppa dressed up as so many different characters, but her favourite was Little Red Riding Hood!
Georgie thinks she would have the same problem as she has lots of favourite books too!

My daughter is mad on Peppa pig, So I knew she would enjoy this. I thought this was a good book for world book day, and would be a good book to encourage children to read and enjoy books. We knew that George would end up being a dinosaur and we liked that Peppa couldn't choose just one favourite book. My daughter thought it was funny that Peppa dressed up as various characters. It was a nice length after reading it my daughter wanted to tell me what all her favourite books were, as she said like Peppa she had more than one. An enjoyable story.

I read this story to my 5 year old, however she could have read it to me.
A lovely simple story capturing the spirit of dress up for world book day.
My daughter loved how peppa was lots of characters in her favourite books and how she didn't just pick one story character to be.
She enjoyed the story but I felt this probably was more suited to younger children or peppa pig fans.

What a funny book! Read it to my 4 year old who loves Peppa. A great introduction to World Book Day and showed her how she can like lots of books and use her imagination for dressing up. The characters never get old and always amuse. The artwork was as good as always. A must buy for Peppa fans!

This is a very nice introduction to what World Book Day is about. Peppa and George choose their costumes based on the books they love the most and they go to school with their costumes. For George there's nothing really new, he just goes as a Dinosaur, but the Peppa part is fun! She likes lots of books and then we all have to guess which books she likes and this was lots of fun for us. Besides that we can see the other kids with costumes from their favourite books. This is good because it motivates reading those books as well, which is I think also the main idea of World Book Day.

This was a really funny and lovely story. Peppa and George get to dress up for World Book day. George wants to be a Dinosaur because his favourite book is about a dinosaur. Peppa looks through her books to choose her favourite but she can't decide on just one. She has six favourite books. What will Peppa dress up as and what will all her friends dress up as too? We are big Peppa Pig fans so really enjoyed this book. There are all the usual characters including Madame Gazelle and Peppa's friends. The illustrations are very colourful and we have read this book quite a few times. It is not too long so perfect for bedtime or anytime really.

Leo really enjoyed this book. It featured several characters that he recognised from the other Peppa Pig books that we've read together. The storyline was interesting and easy for him to follow with bold illustrations. Leo "liked everyone dressing up" and thought "Peppa looked funny wearing all of the things". Peppa had so many favourite books, she just couldn't decide which character to dress up as!

Even if I don't like Peppa at all, it was really nice to try to understand the interpretation of every single book Peppa gave. The children where happy with the bright colours and simple shapes. The easy language allowed me to read it in English instead of translating it (the biggest child always asks for translation...)

Peppa and George are getting dressed as their favourite books at nursery for World Book Day (this story is one of the £1 books under the voucher scheme). George goes as a dinosaur (obviously) while Peppa resolves she has 6 favourite books and takes elements of each into her costume. At nursery the children are asked to guess who everyone has come as .... and obviously they struggle with Peppa's costume.... but together work it out.

Things I didnt like: (i) None of the characters are drawn holding/reading books (the pile of Peppa's 6 favourites is shown on one page), so the emphasis is on "dress up" rather than reading (ii) Some of the books referenced don't exist (eg The Red Monkey, Candy Cat in Boots) so their inclusion doesn't act as a "prompt" to go and read them...("lets read Peppa's 6 favourites and see if you agree"). (iii) None of the children really explain why they've picked these characters to dress as / talked about why they like that story, (iv) the pigs are told by their parents they can "dress up as our favourite books" which I thought was confusing, that it should have been clearer that they were to dress up to represent "favourite characters".

My daughter turns 4yr in April and showed very little interest in the book. She's never seen the TV programme, so doesnt benefit from familiarity with the characters etc that might have helped "hook" you in.

I think the "BEAR'S HOUSE OF BOOKS" by Poppy Bishop (which we also received on a Toppsta giveaway) is a much better promoter of reading / sharing stories, looking after books and sharing with friends.... use your £1 voucher towards buying that!!
