The "Philippines - The People" is an exploration of these peoples, from the largest group, the Tagolog, to the Igorot highlanders, and the country's Muslim peoples, the Manobo, explaining how they joined together through history to form a united country. Other topics included are: the Tasaday tribe controversy; Spanish and American rule; the Chinese population; Ferdinand and Imedla Marcos; barong tagalog and traditional dress; recreational activities, such as martial arts, yo-yos, and cockfighting; and respect and family traditions.
