Little Bear, Chipmunk, Marmot and Fox spent the summer playing together. When Marmot suggests that they build a house and live together, everyone agrees that it is an excellent idea - who could be bored or lonely when they're surrounded by their friends?
Unfortunately for Fox, his new housemates have a habit of hibernating through the winter months, and they forgot to mention their yearly tradition beforehand. Fox feels dispirited and isolated, until mysterious parcels addressed to his friends begin to arrive. What is in the parcels, and will Fox resist his curiosity to open them before his friends wake up?
