Wind up the sleigh and follow Santa as he flies around the frosty night sky delivering presents on Christmas Eve. The colourful scenes with tracks embedded in the pages show Santa leaving the elves' village, flying around a busy city, soaring over snowy mountains and landing on the rooftops to deliver presents to sleeping children.

I love the Usborne wind-up range and this book lives up to expectations. The illustrations are enchanting, warm and very Christmassy. There are no cut out figures to stand up as with other books in this series but it doesn't take anything away from this lovely book. There are four tracks in the book for the sleigh to whizz round while you can follow the words next to the track and read about santa delivering the presents on Christmas Eve.

This book is going to form part of L's book advent calendar, but I couldn't resist giving her a sneak peek when it arrived! She was fascinated by the sight of Santa on his sleigh whooshing round the pages, and she squealed with delight as she tried to catch it. Although she's too young to appreciate it this year, each page has lots of interesting details that I'm looking forward to discussing with L in future, and the beautiful illustrations really evoked the magic of the season for me. The book feels really sturdy and well made, too, so I think it'll be a firm favourite for many Christmasses to come.

My son age 3 really enjoyed the wind up sleigh and the way Santa travels around the page following the story. There wasn't many pages due to the thickness of the book so it was fairly short reading wise but there is plenty to look at on each page. The sleigh was too fiddly for my son to wind up so he needed a bit of help but im sure next year he would be fine. To get the sleigh to work correctly the book has to be perfectly flat so best read on the floor or up at the table, its definitely not a read at bedtime book. A nice little bit of fun with colourful illustrations and a short story behind it. Would make a good gift.

We love this new addition in our wind up collections. This time it is Father Christmas on a sleigh full of presents. We like it for the fact that, as usual, you can wind up the little vehicle and see it go round and round on the page. The activity on each page this time is to count the number of certain objects/characters, e.g. snowmen. We like it for the fact that the tract each page always ends up in a loop so the sleigh doesn't hit a stop. However, we do feel that this time, the small sleigh doesn't run very smoothly, like the little train in another wind up book of ours. It gets stuck easily and if the page is not flat enough (if one side if higher than the other) the sleigh doesn't have enough power to climb up. It is suggested to always support the tilted side of the page with something underneath to make sure the surface is flat. I also wish that the tracks on each page can be taken down separately and joined with other tracks as a bigger map by themselves, like in the wind up train book. Overall, it is a great book that's full of cute illustrations of christmas themed characters and we like seeing the little sleigh run on the page! Great fun for this holiday season.

This is a fun and interactive book. In it, Santa is traveling around in his sleigh. The book comes with a wind up sleigh that runs over tracks on each set of facing pages. It is a really fun interactive element, and my 4 year old enjoyed winding the sleigh and letting it roll all over. You do need to make sure the book is open flat in order for it to work properly, and Santa might slip off anyways. The story is very simple, but there are multiple items to find in the illustrations. I would say that the story on its own would be appropriate for toddlers, but the sleigh would have to be carefully monitored to keep it out of little mouths. As you would expect, the pages are quite thick, and there is a large base on the book. This is typical for these types of interactive books, but it does mean it will take up quite a bit of shelf space for its length. My daughter loved this book and said that it's lots of fun. If your child is old enough to enjoy wind up toys but not too old, it is a fun book. But it's not one I'd see becoming a holiday classic.
