The topic outlines show parts of the PoS to be covered, the relationship of the topic to aspects of KS2 and KS4 and warns of equipment that may need special preparation time in advance. Topic Maps are provided for students. Lesson Notes relating to each double page spread in the students' book offer objectives, ideas for each lesson, detailed references to the PoS, level descriptions, safety points with references to Cleapps Hazacards, ICT support, cross-curricular links and equipment lists. Answers to all questions in the students' book are also provided. Additional support material provide: Homework Sheets, Help and Extension Sheets to optimise differentiation (Sc1), Sc1 Skill Sheets, 'Thinking about...' activities to improve integration of CASE activities with Spotlight Science, Revision Quizzes and Checklists, etc. Extra Help Sheets for each topic extend the range of support for Sc1 and Sc2-4. Challenge Sheets for each topic provide a variety of enrichment activities for more able students. They consist of a variety of challenging activities which will present students with opportunities to develop problem-solving, thinking, presentational and interpersonal skills.
Technician's Cards include help to prepare lessons, equipment requirements and Cleapps Hazcard references.
