Features include: "side-bars" offering the author's commentary on the background to the stories; an interactive map of the stories' locations that links to a photo gallery of scenes from the tales; the full text of both "Double Dare Gang" storybooks; and on-screen templates that bring greater depth and immediacy to learners' story-making games. A mouseclick allows pupils to hear the tales read by the author. The CD allows whole-class, group or individual work at the keyboard and the activities are fully supported by teaching notes. Photocopiable pages from the ALPS StoryMaker manual can be printed from the disc.
