Each Students' Book contains a variety of text types and topics of high interest to KS3 students. Each topic is approached through a variety of text types (as in KS3 National Tests) which may include reports, instructions, recounts, extracts from novels, playscripts and poetry. These text types are explored through topics which have strong cross-curricular links, and will appeal to both boys and girls, e.g. Space, Natural Disasters, Extreme Sports, The Black
