What's that knocking sound coming from the wardrobe? Every night, it makes Dora and her toy friends afraid to go to bed and every morning they are grumpy through lack of sleep. Eventually, they summon up the courage to face their fear together and open the wardrobe door...what falls out provides a humorous and reassuring story for all children who imagine monsters in the darkness. With a sympathetically drawn cast of characters, Bryony taps into a childhood fear and converts it into a tale of mutual support. Gently funny, 'The Wardrobe Monster' will be a great bedtime read.

Lovely story about facing your fears and friendship.
My daughter loves this book and related to being scared of noises in the night. This book has even helped her feel a little more brave at night with her favourite teddies with her.

This is a delightful book beautiful to look at with lovely illustrations and a really enjoyable story with an underlying message for children who aren't confident in the dark . The story covers the subject of being scared at night and the importance of sleep.  I read this to my twins and they were delighted by the things that came out the wardrobe  lots of giggling my older son enjoyed this story to ( even though he wouldn't admit to that) a much loved book in or home already.

We have been enjoying reading this book as a family at bedtime. I was a little worried that my three-year-old might have been concerned about wardrobe monsters but she took it very much in her stride. It's a simply told story with affectionately drawn characters. We warmed to Lion and Penguin straight away and it allowed us to cross that blurred line between teddies being real and being toys. The illustrations are lovely and suit a bedtime read. Highly recommend this book as a lovely cosy, bedtime story.

This charming book is beautifully illustrated throughout. It adds just the right amount of suspense, for the age of children designed for. It adds humour to common childhood fears. I enjoyed it as much as my five year old daughter and it will become a much loved book.

What a lovely book! Wonderful illustrations and a story that was enjoyed by both me and my 3 year old. My daughter liked the characters in the book and I’m sure it will be on the favourites list at bedtimes!

I liked this book because the little girl gets out of bed because she hears a Big Bang. The wardrobe monster is very nice and cuddly and he was scared of the big noises too. I liked the big THUMP. My favourite character is the penguin.

A really good book, great quality and well illustrated. It’s about Dora and her teddy friends who can’t sleep and it makes them very grumpy. Because they are afraid of the wardrobe monster. But one night they decide to be brave and open the door. It turns out to be very friendly and he was more worried about the noises he heard outside the wardrobe. A nice story and different way of tackling a subject which teaches children not to be afraid at bedtimes. My little boy enjoyed this.

This is a lovely book, especially for any children not keen on bedtime and the dark. It follows a little girl who is afraid of the noises at night time until she discovers where they come from. Lovely illustrations, my daughter liked her hair colour!
