This special issue of "TSP" is devoted to the delivery of psychological services to the Olympic teams of the last Olympiad -- both Winter and Summer games. The authors have addressed several aspects, the most important being the philosophy of service delivery and the reasoning behind this approach. The authors also discuss how they made contact with the national governing body, the range of services provided, how these services were organized, their effectiveness, and whether problems were encountered and how these were handled. One article reports on the results of a survey on the services provided by Olympic sport psychology consultants.
