"Dropping Out or Hanging In" contains self-quizzes, exercises and other activities. It helps at-risk students think through the consequences of leaving school before graduation. Life Exploration Activities help students develop life goals, evaluate their interests and beliefs, and gain some decision-making skills. A Special Alternatives chapter alerts students to alternative high schools, GED programs, and other options available to dropouts who decide to "drop in" later. It features conversational language that is easy for students to read and relate to as they work through the text.
