This book presents the ongoing assessment of student physical ability. The Basic Skills Assessments (BSA) highlighted in this book use an authentic assessment approach to measure student learning and progress from pre-school right through to sixth form and includes strategies and alternatives for assessing students with disabilities. The BSA includes the Fundamental Skills Assessment (FSA) for primary school students, the Activity Skills Assessment (ASA) for primary and secondary school students and the Motor Assessment for Students with Severe Disabilities (MASSD), which serves as an alternate assessment for students who are unable to be assessed in a typical fashion. The book comes with an accompanying web resource containing all BSA and information on assessment modifications and adaptations.
