Maths Today tackles topical South African issues in a way that will entertain, engage and empower Intermediate Phase learners. Programme Organisers relate to the learners' immediate experiences, such as: our bodies, healthy eating, birthdays, families, using and saving water, transport, animals, comparing prices, spending and saving, your dream home, sport and games. The course is strongly integrated, developing outcomes from across all learning areas. Lively activities develop knowledge, skills, attitudes and values related to the Programme Organiser topics. Mathematical concepts and skills are integrated into the activities as needed.
