Each unit's lesson or activity includes a statement of the rationale behind it, specific objectives, content goals, materials, procedures, grade-appropriate adaptations, and assessment tools, which are usually student handouts. The Media-Savvy Student is developed around student-centered teaching, inquiry-based education, problem solving in cooperative learning, and alternatives to standardized testing.
