New Day-by-Day is an innovative new course for the Foundation Phase, spanning grades R-3. It has been especially developed to meet the requirements of the Revised national Curriculum Statement (NCS). The New Day-by-Day Grade R Literacy course provides guidelines and resources for planning and teaching across the Literacy, Numeracy and Life skills learning programmes. The Literacy components are aimed at learners who will be learning English as an additional language. New Day-by-Day English Grades 1-3 is supportive, structured and creative and exposes additional language learners to the richness of the English language. Structures are taught and learned in context and the use of an extensive range of texts provides input in the target language. For ease of access and use, every lesson has its own Teacher's Guide page, which offers support on classroom organisation, resources needed, assessment and suggested methodology.
