The book and CD provide all the guidance and support materials needed to set up an 'action team' to undertake projects identified by the parents and community. The Effective Partnerships with Parents (EPPa) approach is flexible and not prescriptive; it doesn't take up too much staff time; it's fun to be involved in and it will greatly help to satisfy Ofsted with regard to parental engagement.
