Monster Mummy is going shopping, so Boris is babysitting for Monster Baby. The thing is, Boris isn't very good at it. He plonks Monster Baby in the dog basket, forgets to feed him and falls fast asleep when he should be putting Baby to bed. Can you help Boris babysit before things get really out of hand? There's a lot of looking after to do! With a cute, furry baby monster on ribbon to play with and attach to each page.
A hilarious follow-up to the bestselling Calm Down, Boris! by the super-talented Sam Lloyd.

‘Boris Babysits!’ is the newest release in this series of Monster puppet books. In this latest installment, Monster Mummy is going shopping and, rather unwisely, leaves boisterous Boris holding the baby. Fortunately, help is at hand for Boris, as little readers are asked to help out too. Purple Monster Baby is a lovely little puppet attached by a ribbon and can be stuck onto the pages with velcro tabs allowing little readers to easily manipulate the puppet. Far from gimmick-y, the puppet in this book allows little readers to truly engage with the story and encourages imaginative play.

Monster Mummy has gone shopping and she's unwisely left Boris holding the baby. Mishaps and mayhem ensue. Monster Baby ends up either perilously perched at the top of the slide or dumped in the stinky dog basket. She has an accident on the bathroom floor and narrowly escapes a day-long diet of tv and sweeties. It's up to the reader to help put things right.

This is a truly interactive book. A purple fluffy Monster Baby with googly eyes is attached to the book with an orange ribbon and Velcro. The genius of this design is that she can be moved from page to page. There are Velcro patches at different points throughout the book and the reader is encouraged, for example, to put baby in her highchair, on her potty or in the bath.

Children will love playing with Monster Baby and the humour and lighthearted tone will be a hit too. The bold illustrations are packed with detail and things to giggle at.
