This is a wonderful book that is throughly enjoyed by my 1 year old. She thinks the rabbit puppet is hilarious and often brings the book to us to read to her. A simple plot but well suited for the target audience

A counting puppet book with traditional Beatrix Potter illustrations- we received this book as a gift when my eldest was a baby and even though there is no story, it was very well read. Now we read it to our 7 month old who is very engrossed by the puppet although the puppet itself is a bit difficult to clean!

This is a sweet finger-puppet board book that counts with Peter Rabbit (and other characters) from 1 to 5, with the final page acting as a summary of sorts where you count consecutively from 1 to 5.

The finger puppet keeps my children engaged as we read; they love doing it themselves and as such spend a lot of time with the book independently - which is always a good thing.

The book itself is a very sturdy and durable board book which has kept in impressive condition, considering the use. The illustrations are beautiful -  as expected! Each number is given a double-page spread.

The text is simple; I like that there are animal noises and sound effects for the children to join in with or mimic with each number. There is some lovely repetition at the end of each double-page it reads "But where's Peter? Here he is!" that also acts as a prompt to involve the finger puppet, which they rapidly pick up.

All in all, it's a lovely counting book with the added entertainment of a finger puppet.

A sturdy and very sweet Peter Rabbit board book. The finger puppet makes my son very interested in reading it, even now my son (3 and a half years old) still selects this book to read every time we go over to visit family. He is too old for it, but he still has fun with it, even it being also short for him. It's good to teach counting from 1 to 5, where you count animals and it has the animal sounds as well. It doesn't really have a story to it, so I think this is an interesting book for younger kids.

This is a very sweet Peter Rabbit book, with the finger puppet adding interest for a young child / toddler. My daughter was gifted it for Christmas (aged 3.5), but its much better suited to a 2-2.5yr old and certainly shouldnt replace you owning the "proper" version of Peter Rabbit.
