I read this to Jacob  (6), it's a fantastic book, full of interesting facts and information. It's a large book and very colourful which kept him interested. We have already used this book to help with a school project.

This is a truly wonderful book which will enrich any bookcase. It's a large book which covers the geography and geology of the earth, specifically from the point of view of earth and water.

It's packed with information about volcanos, ice, the oceans and so much more. It's not  a book that is to be read from cover to cover, instead you can pick it up and explore a particular topic each time. It's a really handy resources for teaching your child to use non fiction books, looking at the contents/index for the correct page etc. The book has a clever format,  with one side being Earth, and then you turn it over to access the water section.  My son loves this!

I really love this book and the whole family have enjoyed looking at it. It's informative, well written and beautiful to look at. Highly recommended.

This is a huge hardback book with loads (and I mean loads!) of interesting stuff in it. The boy has spent ages looking at it and finding out about all kinds of stuff like the roots of plants, burrowing animals, underground trains, deep sea creatures, submarines and much much more. The illustrations on each page are very detailed with informative captions - perfect for my curious 6-year-old to get thoroughly absorbed in.

This book is fantastic, we lay on the bed looking at the pictures and information together, its bigger than I expected but for me this meant it was easier to bond with my son whilst learning. He told me that he liked how the facts weren't just about creatures but about people too. the whole concept of the book is amazing and gives adults a chance to learn something new too. Its a good way to share opinions and beliefs and to explore what you already know against things you didn't know. I highly recommend this book for EVERY child. my two five year olds were fascinated also! its very difficult to get bored with this book, Five stars!

I absolutely love this book. I won a copy of it last year but I already had my eye on it and would gladly have bought it myself. It is definitely worth the money and is packed with so much interesting information.

In Under Earth there are facts on tree roots and borrowing animals, ant hills and crops that grow underground. Under Water is probably my favourite side though (it's split in two) as it tells you about submarines, fish and previous divers, things like sink holes and how we travelled under water before.

The illustrations are impeccable- I mean really really stunning. I love drawing from the book and I feel like I have learnt a lot from reading this book. It's educational and fun!

Read to Ben 8 and Oliver 6, this is a really interesting book about how things are made and how we get them like water, gas and lakes etc. The boys loved this book especially about how the earth was made and how lakes where made and volcanos emerged. A really good information book my boys loved it.

We were very lucky to win this book from Toppsta. My daughter is thrilled with it.  It's more of a reference book than a reading book so we've been dipping in and out since receiving it.
The book is a large hard backed book,  wrote heavy and set out as under earth on one side and under water on the other,  meeting in the middle so there isn't really a beginning and an end/front or back.
The book is a series of illustrated drawings,  or labeled diagrams.  It's looks to be very good as a point of reference and has certainly made me think and notice a few thinks and has started a few discussions with my children.
Being ultra critical I'd say that whilst the labeled diagrams are good,  in some areas I feel it would benefit from a bit more explanatory text or detail but then I guess thats not really the point of the book.
Ive given 4 stars because it's a good starting point as a reference book and will certainly assist with some homework projects but the size and weight of the book makes it less attractive for flicking through in bed or taking out in the car or wherever. It also doesn't fit in aregular bookcase unless lying down which might be an issue for some.  Also the cover price of £20 might put it out of the budget for many.

Fantastic book! Crammed with fascinating facts and great for learning, my 6 year old loves it! It's all about Earth at the beginning of the book and all about water at the end... they meet in the middle. A really great book to have on the bookshelf as it has so many inspiring maps in that kids really enjoy (and adults too :))
