When his good friends, Vole, Rabbit, Squirrel and Sparrow take him down to the lake to show him the sunrise, their vivid descriptions help him to see it in his mind and he is able to imagine the rising sun and experience its beauty for himself.

This is such a lovely book. Mole is invited to watch the sunrise and it is beautifully described by the other animals sitting on the log. I was surprised by the ending and really loved it. My kids also thought the book was fab. They found it funny that the sunrise was described like an egg!
