Mary is visited by an Angel who tells her that she will soon be the mother of Jesus. She is then taken on a journey in a celestial moon-boat through the earth, the seas, the sky and the stars, meeting Gnomes, Undines, Sylphs and Salamanders in preparation for the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem. This moving picture book features illustrations by the author, and is divided up into several sections. It is suggested that the appropriate section of the book is read to children on each Advent Sunday leading up to Christmas Day, so that the book works as an advent calendar.
