"Freestyle Express" is a new, fully accessible range of books tailored for 11-15 year old pupils with a reading age of 8 years. The range uses a simplified version off the "Freestyle" layout, making it easier for the less confident reader to follow. This is a country studies series with a difference! It examines the characteristics of places and the people that live there in an unfolding sequence of enquiry and discovery. This core curriculum area is explained in an attention-grabbing way, encouraging even the most reluctant reader to pick up the books and find out more about the country they are researching. This work: uses a survival guide approach that encourages pupils to turn the page to find out more; includes feature boxes with unusual or amusing facts about each country in addition to the key geographical information required; contains fascinating images, a range of text types, maps and graphs; and can be used in the classroom in conjunction with the equivalent "Freestyle" series.
