Molly Mouse is looking for Christmas decorations. Every animal is feeling generous, and she soon has all she needs. However, her tree needs just one, magical finishing touch. This warm and gentle Christmas tale is accompanied by beautiful watercolour illustrations and there is a fantastic twinkling surprise at the end which makes this book extra special.

I read it to RCHogan aged 4 aged 4 & to AIHogan aged 3 aged 3

This Christmas story is one of my children’s favourites. It’s a sweet tale of a mouse looking for decorations and finding a lot of help along the way from very kind animals. It’s a gentle story that’s perfect for winding down by the Christmas tree or at bedtime.
I like how it models kindness and generosity at Christmas; it’s a heart-warning story and sparks a conversation about ways we can find to be kind.
They really love the twinkling lights at the end of the book; they spend ages playing with the book just to see it light up again and again!
The watercolour illustrations are beautiful and suit the gentle story perfectly.
