This is a biography of Bob Geldof, whose work for the Third World is now part of contemporary history, in particular his organization of one major event in July 1985, when he staged the biggest rock show ever, Live Aid, to benefit famine victims in Africa. Geldof had been moved by a Michael Buerk news report of the famine and decided to act.
