It is aimed at children aged 6 - 14 with a reading age of 5 - 7, ensuring Goal! is ideal for children who are struggling to develop the basics of reading and who need structured systematic phonics-based reading books. The Goal programme is based round Letters and Sounds phonics scheme and offers structured progression over five levels. The level 3 pack includes fourteen books. It corresponds to Phase 3 of Letters and Sounds and introduces graphemes (letters) and phonemes (sounds) and builds some more complext words such as 'oa' in goal. The pack includes two accompanying workbooks and titles such as Get Fit and We Can Win.
