Ruby and Mai are camping out in the garden. As the night draws in, all sorts of scary characters head towards their tent. Luckily, Ruby has some magical objects in her rucksack, but will they be enough to keep the girls safe? Rhythmic, rhyming text carries young readers through this night-time adventure. Camping theme makes this an inspiring way to prepare small children for sleeping out during the summer months. A companion to Barefoot Books' Ruby's School Walk. Recent praise for the artist: 'Latimer's quirky, energetic acrylic and collage art playfully tweaks perspective and scale'.
