The Blends Book is aimed at Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 (KS1) children who already have confidence with single initial consonant phonemes. Each consonant blend featured is accompanied by a creative activity and two fun reading worksheets designed both to consolidate blend recognition and use, and to extend children's knowledge in a stimulating way. Activities include finding word meanings, identifying blends, crosswords, word building, cloze activities, rhymes and word families.
