Ava and Auntie Albie live in a little house surrounded by wide skies and green fields. Together, they spend long days in their workshop building tables and trinkets.
But one day, with a - FLOP! BUMP! THUD! - an injured bird falls from the sky. Ava is so excited to build her flock. But when it's time for Ava's stork to fly the nest, it's so hard to say goodbye . . .

Ellan Rankin is a Northern Irish author-illustrator. She completed an MA in Children's Book Illustration from Cambridge School of Art, and she also has a First Class Honors degree in Illustration from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design in Dundee.
A huge animal lover, her stories often centre around animals and silly st
