Structured spelling lessons for Year 2/Primary 3. ELS Essential Spelling provides three spelling lessons per week throughout Year 2/Primary 3. The format and structure of the programme mirrors that used in the ELS systematic synthetic phonics programme. The lessons cover phonics at Phase 6 alongside the requirements of the National Curriclum for Year 2.
Children can use these A4 double-sided sounds mats displaying the Phase 5 alternative graphemes to support them to spell words. The sounds mats are available as a pack of 10.
