"Nous les Francais" is a two-part French course for sixth-formers with the emphasis on a communicative approach to language learning. Part 1 aims to bridge the gap between GCSE and "A" level work and is suitable for non-"A" level candidates. A wide variety of material showing the French attitude to topics ranging from health to information technology is included in this book, encouraging students to form and express opinions, both orally and in writing. Communicative tasks such as discussion, information gathering, organized argument, reporting and role-play are encouraged throughout. A grammar section with exercises and authentic listening material made on location in France are included. The student text has an accompanying teacher's book with photocopiable material as well as cassettes and tapes.
