"Stage 1 Kipper Big Books" are large format versions of the new edition "Stage 1 Kipper" wordless storybooks. With their new, even larger format they are an invaluable resource for whole class teaching and group work. The titles in the pack are "At School", "The Lost Teddy", "The Library", "The Haircut", "Look Out!" and "Getting Up". Each page has space under the illustrations to attach teacher's / children's text written on post-it notes. The A4 sized "Teaching Notes" booklet, which is included in the pack, provides a Curriculum Coverage Chart, listing Speaking and Listening, Reading, and Writing activities at Reception level. The Teaching Notes include the Extended Story for each title in the pack. These longer version Extended Stories encourage the children to understand the story and absorb the details in the illustrations. They are ideal for teachers to encourage children to talk about the story and look closely at the pictures. Each Extended Story is followed by ideas and suggestions for shared activities for speaking and listening, reading, and writing.
