Set in the fourteenth century, this story follows the adventures of Hugh Fletcher and his band of outlaws who live in the forests on the English-Welsh border. Hugh takes part in King Edward III's campaign against France, culminating in the Battle of Crecy, an experience which changes the whole course of Hugh's life.
