Cloudaloud Audiobooks at Bedtime

Test

Katie Sparks of Cloudaloud writes about the benefits of listening to audiobooks at bedtime. Cloudaloud is a streaming app for children’s and YA audiobooks, currently available on iOS. They have just launched a subscription service on October 1, which includes hundreds of audiobooks from wonderful UK publishers for £3.99 a month

Big changes can lead to a lot of uneasiness for kids. It's been a tough year: disruption to routines, a return to school after months spent missing friends, and the uncertainty of what lies ahead all mean more anxiety when minds are at their most quiet.

Even if your child is an easy sleeper, chances are (like us) you’ve been contending with more nerves, tears, and fears lately. Listening to music or stories at night as part of a new routine can ease the sense of isolation in a darkened room. Falling asleep on their own with a story, rather than having mum or dad stick around until they’re asleep, can also build confidence, independence, and resilience.

Here’s a list of ten fantastic bedtime audiobooks, for when you’ve already read four (“just one more!”) stories, and it’s time for lights out.
