Reading Chest was set up by a former teacher, who found that it was a challenge to get books at the right level for early readers.

Determined that parents should not have to dependent on the books their kids are given at school, she set up this book rental service, specialising in reading scheme books for children aged 4 to 9 years.

Unlike other book subscriptions, Reading Chest specialises in book banded reading books similar to those used in schools and it works on a swapping system. Children receive regular personal deliveries of books at their reading level. After reading, simply return them in a pre-paid envelope and wait for some more to arrive in the post.

A great, environmentally friendly way to support your child's learning at home.

For ages 4-9. Choose 2, 4 or unlimited swaps a month.
