You Can do Anything (Hip and Hop)
Author: Akala Illustrator: Sav Akyuz
Read this to my 2 & 4 year old. Was excited about this book as I love a rap but if I’m honest the children looked at me like I’d gone slightly mad! Maybe that was my rap skills?! Story theme is good but didn’t engage my two despite them both being bike enthusiasts. Illustrations nice. Overall a bit disappointed

Pip and Posy: The Scary Monster
Author: Nosy Crow Illustrator: Axel Scheffler
Pip and Posey are firm favourites in our house. This book did not dissapoint, despite the monster being a bit scary. The children loved it when they realised that it wasn't really a monster. Fantastic

No-Bot, the Robot with No Bottom
Author: Sue Hendra
My son finds this book so amusing, the robot with no bot! A lovely story that is easy to follow with great illustrations.

Each Peach Pear Plum
Authors: Allan Ahlberg , Janet Ahlberg Illustrator: Janet Ahlberg
We LOVE this book. The children really enjoy the 'i spy' element and hunting through the pages to find the characters. Beautifully illustrated and written. A lovely story that can be enjoyed together

What the Ladybird Heard on Holiday
Author: Julia Donaldson Illustrator: Lydia Monks
The first page had us gripped with the fabulous illustrations of London. Gorgeous colours and use of images. You can't really go wrong with a Julia Donaldson book but I'm always dubious to a sequel however, this one bucked the trend. We read it for the first time (4 and a 2.5 year old) last week , 3 times straight off then at east once a day since. Great characters and rhymes. The queens corgis were a hit as was the page where Lanky Len and Hefty Hugh open the sack!!
Engaging story, beautiful illustrations
