Each Peach Pear Plum
Authors: Allan Ahlberg , Janet Ahlberg Illustrator: Janet Ahlberg
Apparently this was a favourite of mine when I was a child, so it takes a pretty special book to still capture children's attention some 30 years later. But that's exactly what it did when u read it to my daughter.. Some of the characters she hadn't heard of, and in truth maybe they are less well known by today's children but she really enjoyed this book and we've read it multiple times now. It's a classic.

Emily Brown and Father Christmas
Author: Cressida Cowell Illustrator: Neal Layton
I'm writing this from the perspective of somone who's never read any of the other Emily brown stories. Perhaps if I had I would have enjoyed this book a bit more. It wasn't a bad story, my daughter enjoyed it but I felt it lacked originality and unfortunately wasn't the warm cosy Christmas story I was hoping it was going to be. That said it was still an enjoyable read around the Christmas season.

Dear Santa
Author: Rod Campbell
My family love dear zoo, so this book was a must have. Its a great Christmas story for little ones and we even saw the stage show of it last year. I recommend if you like dear zoo.

Fox's Socks
Author: Julia Donaldson
Having read the others in this set I was looking forward to this one. It's a simple story of fox looking for his socks but finding other clothes along the way. My child loves the lift up flaps but I think this is her least favourite out of the set.

The Right One
Author: Violeta Noy Illustrator: Violeta Noy
I was so incredibly impressed by the positive message in this book. Find what makes you happy and embrace it.  It really is such a positive book, I'll be reading this over and over. I highly recommend this book!
