The Wonky Donkey
Author: Craig Smith Illustrator: Katz Cowley
This book is hilarious and great fun to read. My boys join in with the animal sounds and end up in fits of giggles by the end. One word of warning you'll be reading it night after night its addictive with funny illustrations .

Goldilocks and the Three Bears
Author: Mara Alperin Illustrator: Kate Daubney
A great colourful book of a traditional story. Simple and easy to follow with funny colourful illustrations. My four year old is leading to read and the print is big enough for him to try and have a go with lots of repetition.

The World's Worst Children
Author: David Walliams Illustrator: Tony Ross
Read to my 4 and 6 year old they both loved it although the 6 year old more. 10 short stories so great for bedtime as not too long. Some of the stories are gross and  I did change a few words to more acceptable ones for a 4 year old. They both laughed throughout. For grownups they are great too with a moral to the stories but not always something younger kids get.

Chickens Can't See in the Dark
Author: Kristyna Litten
A lovely story about a chicken who is curious to see in the dark but will she manage it and convince her friends that chickens can see in the dark ? Funny and great to read with beautiful pictures to keep little ones interested.

Star Phonics: Sid Did It (Phase 2)
Author: Jeanne Willis
Read by my 4 year old for reception class home work. Very few words but all the same sounds to help with sound blending. The story is short and simple but funny with great illustrations. In the words of my 4 year old it’s ‘cool’
