Supersaurs 2: The Stegosorcerer
Author: Jay Jay Burridge
Really enjoyed reading this book to my 6 year old dinosaur fanatic. He enjoyed the story and seemed to follow it. He especially liked the illustrations. I wish we’d read the first book in the series first, but it was ok to read as a stand alone book. Full of action and adventure.

You Choose!
Author: Pippa Goodhart Illustrator: Nick Sharratt
Love this book. Had it since my eldest was younger. Prompts lots of interesting conversations. Each page has a question such as where would you like to live? The rest of the page has lots of different places to live and you pick one. Or chat about all the different options! Great fun.

The Smartest Giant in Town
Author: Julia Donaldson Illustrator: Axel Scheffler
I really enjoy this book. The story is about a kind giant who helps various animals by giving them some of his new clothes. Then he has no clothes left so returns to the shop to find it closed. He ends up in his old clothes. When he returns home all the animals he's helped have a present for him. Lovely illustrations and rhyming text.

Hilo: The Boy Who Crashed to Earth (Hilo Book 1)
Author: Judd Winick
My 4.5 year old son really like the comic book format of this book but I found it difficult to read. Often there were pages of pictures with no text so he spent ages looking at the pictures. Was much better when not reading for bed time. The chapters are short which was good, especially as he's on the younger side of the target audience. It was a funny story though and we'd certainly read the others in the series.

Gruffalo in Scots
Author: Julia Donaldson Illustrator: Axel Scheffler
Really enjoy the story of The Gruffalo. Was sent this by a Scottish relative. It flows just the same as the original but with a Scottish twist. My son found it hilarious as we tried to do the accent together. Great book.
