Book pages The Tiger Who Came to Tea
The Tiger Who Came to Tea
I read it to LittleReader aged 2
The Tiger Who Came To Tea is such a firm favourite in our house that I read it from memory. It is a classic about a very hungry tiger that comes to tea with Sophie and her mummy, his bottomless tummy is only satisfied when he has eaten every scrap of food and drunk all of the drink, including every drop of water in the tap! Happily, when Daddy gets home, he's not upset that there's nothing to eat, quite the opposite, he has a very delicious and exciting solution! My little girl loves me to leave gaps for her to fill in the story and heckles "careful Sophie" when she stands on the chair, the illustrations are clean, on mostly white backgrounds and very calming, a perfect bedtime tale to spark the imagination.

Book pages Fox's Socks
Fox's Socks
I read it to LittleReader aged 2
The plot of this book is all in the title, Mr Fox has lost his socks and the reader is sent on an exciting journey around his house, opening flaps to reveal each item of his outfit, the rhyming gives it a real rhythm and helps my little girl guess the missing piece of clothing. Opening the flaps really help my little girl feel part of the story and I often find her "reading" it to herself. This one is a firm favourite in our house!
