Book pages Creative Writing Book
Creative Writing Book
MicahW read it aged 7
I don't do a lot of writing, apart from when at school so this was a good book that got me writing at home. I liked you didn't have to do it In order, as there were different ideas and things to write, so I flicked through and started with the ones that I found more enjoyable, such as writing headlines for pictures and draw and write tour own comic strip. Some bits were only small bits of writing and others long, there was a good mix. I also liked the who do you think you are section at the start Of The book, where it was all stuff about me I had to write, like name, hobbies, things that make me laugh etc. I enjoyed this book, great for girls and boys and it did help me.get creative with writing

Book pages Dr Duck
Dr Duck
I read it to AvaW aged 3
My daughter chose this book from her nursery. Some Of The animals are feeling poorly, but doctor duck is here to save the day. my daughter enjoyed this story, and really liked the kind doctor duck who helped lots of animals. The colourful pictures were lovely and detailed and the pull out page at the back was a nice ending to the book.

Book pages Letter to Pluto
Letter to Pluto
MicahW read it aged 7
This was an original book, never read anything like this before. I liked how the whole book was set out in letters. It was funny, easy to read and I read the whole book pretty quickly. I liked The 2 main characters Jon and Straxi, and it was interesting hearing about Pluto and what Straxi got up to. It's a great book for both girls and boys

Book pages Don't Wake the Bear, Hare!
Don't Wake the Bear, Hare!
I read it to AvaW aged 3
My daughter has this as a gift. She loves animals and books with animals. In the woods a bear falls asleep in the animals tree. They are preparing for a party, and get to do it quietly so they don't wake the bear. The illustrations were lovely, Bright and colourful. The book is a rhyming story; rhyming couplets. My daughter enjoyed telling me all the different animals that she noticed on each page. Its a nice story which my daughter enjoyed.

Book pages Baker Street Academy: Sherlock Holmes and the Disappearing Diamond
Baker Street Academy: Sherlock Holmes and the Disappearing Diamond
I read it to MicahW aged 7
I liked the front cover of this book and I like at the start Of The book, it gives you pictures Of The characters. Tells you who they are and a bit about them. I liked how the book was set out like A comic, with the speech bubbles. There were black and white illustrations throughout the Book, and it was easy to read. It's fast paced and adventurous. There was lots of jokes and it was a very enjoyable read.

Book pages Hamilton's Hats
Hamilton's Hats
I read it to AvaW aged 3
My daughter had this book from nursery. Hamilton has lots of hats, and he meets a few.diffwtent animals that take his hat and he has to get them back. He learns qualities along rhenway like patience. At at the end he is very kind and gives his hat away to a little mouse, to use as his home. It was a bit wordy for my daughter. When it's a story she's really into, that doesn't make any difference, but this one she would lose interest a bit. She really liked the page at the back of the book where it had pictures of all different kinds of hats.
