Book pages Max at Night
Max at Night
I read it to MicahW aged 6 & to AvaW aged 2
Max is ready for bed. He has done all things he would normally do before bed.He wants to say goodnight to the moon, but he can't find it, so he sets out to look for it. This is a great book for bedtime with beautiful, yet simple illustrations. The search for the moon was exciting. My 2year old and 6 year old enjoy this book, they knew Max as they have another Max book which they really liked. Its a very sweet story.

Book pages Something Special: Mr Tumble's Big Flap Book: Lift-the-flap
Something Special: Mr Tumble's Big Flap Book: Lift-the-flap
I read it to AvaW aged 2
This is a lovely book, lots of bright colours, shapes and numbers, but if they are a mr tumble fan it is even better. My daughter loves mr tumble, so as soon as she got this book she loved it.  They are introduced to the  exciting world of colours, shapes, numbers and much more. It is a big, sturdy book and they get to lift the flaps, which small children all enjoy

Book pages You Choose: Colouring Book with Stickers
You Choose: Colouring Book with Stickers
MicahW read it aged 6
This is a great colouring book with lots of stickers. The child gets to use their imagination, colouring in how they choose. Keeps them entertained and it's lots of fun. My son loves this, as he has the you choose book, and this is the same story except he gets to colour in the pages as he likes.

You Choose: Colouring Book with Stickers
MicahW read it aged 6
A lovely colouring book that gets the child using their imagination. Keeps them entertained; they can colour in the worlds how they choose, and there are plenty of stickers to use as they like. My 6 year old loves this as he has the you choose book, and this is the same, but you just colour the black and white pictures in. A fun colouring in book

Book pages Dinosaur Pox
Dinosaur Pox
MicahW read it aged 6
Jodie wakes up one morning as a dinosaur, but when she goes to the doctors he doesn't want to help change her back, he wants to show her around to everyone and make money from it. I thought this was a really funny book, it wasn't too long so read it quite quickly. There was adventure, It was easy to read and follow, and there were black and white illustrations on some of the pages. It was nice because at the end Jodie realises how much she loves her family and how much they love her too. An enjoyable read.

Book pages Ollie's Big Surprise
Ollie's Big Surprise
I read it to MicahW aged 6 & to AvaW aged 2
Ollie the mouse wanted to see some exciting places, so he ran away from home and his on a cruise ship. He brings back some of the best cheeses in the world. He throws a cheese party, and Leo the angry cat turns up. But before Leo could pounce, Ollie had a nasty cheesy surprise for the cat and he went running for his life and the party continued.   Both my 2year old and my 6year old enjoyed this book. I have read it to both of them and my 6year old has read it on his own no problem, just needed help with some of the long cheese names that were hard to pronounce. The illustrations are lovely and detailed. It mentioned a few different countries in Europe that Ollie had visited on the cruise ship, so I talked about these different countries with my 6year old. The ending made us laugh, with how Ollie scared Leo the cat away.

Book pages Snip & Snap: Rain or Shine
Snip & Snap: Rain or Shine
I read it to AvaW aged 2
A lift the flap book, exploring weather and opposites. Snip and Snap are identical crocodiles who are going on a picnic, and whilst out they discover all kinds of weather. It's great for teaching young children about weather. Pages are bright and colourful, my daughter loves lifting the flap, and at the end there is a great fold out ending where the page folds out.

Book pages Jonny Jakes Investigates the Hamburgers of Doom
Jonny Jakes Investigates the Hamburgers of Doom
MicahW read it aged 6
Jonny Jakes (not his real name) is an undercover reporter for the newspaper at his school that got banned. His school has a new headteacher, who seems really nice; handing out sweets, feeding them hamburgers at lunch. Jonny isn't buying it, so he sets out to investigate , to get to the bottom of it.  I really enjoyed this book, it was so funny. Jonny was a very likeable character, and I liked that the book was in the style of a journal. The book was exciting and I really liked the sketches used in the book. The book had my attention from start to finish

Book pages The Singing Mermaid
The Singing Mermaid
I read it to AvaW aged 2
We love Julia Donaldson books in our house, so knew this one would be a hit. We had the princess mirror belle book, so saw this one and got it for my daughter, as knew she would love it. She is only 2 but she likes her books and it will be a book she can enjoy even when shes a bit older.   The singing mermaid joins the circus. The audience who watch the circus love her, but the evil circus owner keeps the mermaid locked in the tank. The mermaid longs for her freedom in the sea again, but will she get away? Its a great girly book. Bright and colorful, and the glitter on every page is an added extra that my daughter loves. Its funny, entertaining and the rhymes are lovely as usual. A very enjoyable book

Book pages Spot Says Goodnight
Spot Says Goodnight
I read it to AvaW aged 2
Spot books are a favourite in our household, but we love this one especially before bed time. My 2year old loves lifting the flaps. The pages of the board book are thick, so great for little hands. In this book Spot says goodnight to his favourite people and things, before having a bath and going to bed.
