Book pages Create Your Own Spy Mission
Create Your Own Spy Mission
MicahW read it aged 6
This was a fantastic spy book! This a story of Ethan Doodle, who see's himself as a secret spy, and he goes on a mission to recover and find out who stole the muffin recipe from the baker. It was easy to read, funny, adventurous and exciting, but the best bit was my involvement in the book. I really enjoyed how I got to decide how the story turned out, like one one page it would say turn to a certain page if you think the culprit was a man, and another page if you thought it was a woman. You could read both versions if you wanted. Also on lots of pages there were things for you to do on the pages to help Ethan do things, like draw in windows for him to escape, cut holes, fold pages, etc. It was a lot of fun, my favourite spy story ever.

Book pages Wilf the Mighty Worrier is King of the Jungle: Book 3
Wilf the Mighty Worrier is King of the Jungle: Book 3
MicahW read it aged 6
I didn't want to put this book down, it was funny and adventurous. Wilf is a likeable character, he makes me laugh as he is scared of everything, but he manages to help the animals even though he scared of them, so he is also brave. It was easy to read independently and I liked the black and white illustrations. What happened to Alan at the end was very funny, especially the bit with the dung had me giggling out loud.

Book pages Lulu Loves Flowers
Lulu Loves Flowers
I read it to AvaW aged 2
My 2 years old loved this book. We do planting in the garden and my daughter helps me, so she liked that the soptory included things she does and could relate to. Lulu was a lovely character, very likeable , and the colourful illustrations were beautifully done. My daughter knows Mary mary quite contrary poem, so she liked saying the words with me at the beginning, and we liked Lulu's version of it at the end of the book. A really nice story we will enjoy reading over and over again.

Book pages Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling Test - Year 2
Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling Test - Year 2
I read it to MicahW aged 7
We got this around the time my son was going to be starting his SATs, so it was good practise for my son. My son got on with the tests no problem. It was good that there was  3 different ones. My son had  done some other grammar, punctuation andy ra mamas practise tests, and I found these quite basic and very easy compared to others my son had done. I liked that along with the answers, it came with a guidance section for the parent and the child.

Book pages National Trust: 123, A walk in the countryside
National Trust: 123, A walk in the countryside
I read it to AvaW aged 2
This was a lovely counting book which incorporated a countryside walk. My daughter enjoyed it, as we love doing things outdoors, and going for walks, so she recognised things on the pages that we see or do when we're out, such as feeding the ducks, seeing birds etc. The illustrations were beautifully done, and my daughter enjoyed counting the different things on each page.personally for my daughter it was a bit basic, she likes more words on a page when I am reading to her, but it's a great counting book for those just learning to count.

Book pages The Bear Cub Bakers
The Bear Cub Bakers
I read it to AvaW aged 2
We give this book a big thumbs up. I enjoyed reading it and my daughter really enjoyed listening to it. We do baking at home together, so this book was right up my daughters street. It was easy to read, the rhyming made it more enjoyable. The illustrations were lovely and we liked the Bears characters. When looking at the pictures My daughter would point out things we had done together when baking, such as mixing, breaking the eggs, decorating etc. We have read it plenty of times and my daughter never gets bored of it.mae both especially loved that it came with a recipe at the back of the book, this really excited my daughter, and we will definitely be trying the recipe out

Book pages 23 Ways ECO
23 Ways ECO
MicahW read it aged 7
I have never had a book like this before, so it was very interesting, and I liked that there was a variety of things to do and make; indoors and outdoors, small and big projects, so there was something to suit everybody, and some things my little sister could get involved in too. I flicked through the book and found things that I was more interested in doing, such as the super stool and shower power. I enjoyed looking through it when I first got it and seeing which ones I had already done before, such as planting trees, growing our own food, making your own bird feeder. We have done some of the smaller projects in the book, and when I am next off school I am going to do some of the bigger ones with the help of my parents, which I am really looking forward to.

Book pages Rapunzel
Rapunzel
AvaW read it aged 3
This is a lovely book for toddlers, sturdy board book and perfect size for small hands. My daughter loves her fairy tales, but she loves this book even more as she can get involved. There are tabs to slide, which make the pictures on the page change, and she really enjoys that. The illustrations are lovely; colourful and bright, and it is a rhyming text. They do other books in the series such as snow white and cinderella.

Book pages Let's Play sticker activity book
Let's Play sticker activity book
I read it to AvaW aged 3
My daughter loves Bing, so I knew she would love this. I got this, as it makes a nice change from just a book to read. It comes with over 100 stickers, which is great, my daughter stuck them on herself and various other things, but there were also pages in the activity book to use the stickers. There was plenty to do to keep my daughter entertained for a good while
