Book pages Alan's Big, Scary Teeth
Alan's Big, Scary Teeth
I read it to AvaW aged 3
Alan the alligator is scary and he likes to scare everyone, but it turns out he has a not so scary secret. my daughter enjoyed this book and she enjoyed looking at the pictures. My daughter thought his not so scary secret was really funny. We liked the ending , as Alan became friends with the other animals, instead of scaring them all. It was a good length for little ones

Book pages Pilot Jane and the Runaway Plane
Pilot Jane and the Runaway Plane
I read it to AvaW aged 3
My daughter was excited to read this book, as she loves going on aeroplanes and she loved that the plane in this book was pink. She enjoyed the book and I liked that it was a rhyming text. My daughter liked seeing the different places where Rose and Jane went on their adventures, and she enjoyed the illustrations. We liked that it was a good length, not short, and my daughter said she will be looking out for Rose the pink plane in the sky. An enjoyable story

Book pages My Little Garage
My Little Garage
I read it to AvaW aged 3
My daughter loves vehicles so I knew this would be a big hit with her. When she saw it she was really excited. I really liked how you got the different things within the set; the book, the cars and the puzzle you put together to make the road the cars can drive on. My daughters favourite bit is the puzzle. She puts it together herself, then will play with the cars on it. I liked that the cars were wooden, so very sturdy and will be long lasting. I thought the book was going to be a story book, but it was more like an information book. My daughter got bored by bits of it, such as the history of cars, and some bits of it I would say wasn't aimed at 3yr olds, like which car logos do you know. I liked the box it came on, as we can keep all the bits of the set together when my daughter has finished using it. A great set for both boys and girls.

Book pages The Egg
The Egg
MicahW read it aged 7
It was interesting learning about different eggs and learning new things. Some pages I found more interesting than others, such as the page about elephant bird eggs and penguin eggs. I liked that it had pictures as well and you could flick through to the pages you were most interested in, didn't have to look through the book in order.

Book pages Goldenclaw
Goldenclaw
MicahW read it aged 7
I had read the first Spynosaur book, which I really liked, So I couldn't wait to start reading this one. It was full of action and adventure which I like, and  It was easy to read. I think it will appeal to boys more, but can be read by both boys and girls.I would love to see more illustrations Of The good bits, like the explosion, fighting the bad guys etc. I was really pleased to see at the end of the book that there will be another spynosaur book.

Book pages A Bear Grylls Adventure 1: The Blizzard Challenge: by bestselling author and Chief Scout Bear Grylls
A Bear Grylls Adventure 1: The Blizzard Challenge: by bestselling author and Chief Scout Bear Grylls
MicahW read it aged 7
I have heard of Bear Grylls before. I haven't watched him on tv, but know the kinds of things he does, so expected the book to be aboutnsome kind of survival. I was t as excites about reading this book as I am.normally, as I wasn't sure whether I would enjoy it or not. It was a short book, so I read it very quickly and it was easy to read. There was black and white illustrations, but some Of The illustrations I found pointless. Such as there would be a drawing of a rucksack on the page and nothing else, etc and didn't think they were needed. I did like the adventure, so preferred the part Of The story where they were on the trek.

Book pages Hugh Shampoo
Hugh Shampoo
I read it to AvaW aged 3
My daughter chose this book at nursery. Hugh Shampoo is a big mess as he won't have it washed or brushed. My daughter thought his hair was funny as it was such a mess. Hughs parents who are hairdressers are on the final of the scissorn showdown, and they end up winning with Hugh as their model. Hugh ends up getting his hair washed and cut at the end though, which my daughter thought was good that he got it done, so he was clean

Book pages Love You Hoo
Love You Hoo
I read it to AvaW aged 3
This was a lovely book about love that I really enjoyed sharing with my daughter. An owl mommy is talking to her little owl. Mommy owl tells the little owl how she feels being his mom, which are all nice things. She talks about what they can do together and that she will always love him. Its a really nice book to read at bedtime, when having cuddles. We both enjoyed reading this, and my daughter asked for it a few times

Book pages Home
Home
I read it to AvaW aged 3
My daughter chose this book from the library. 4 friends lived together until 1 of them said they should move out to somewhere different. They couldn't all decide where to go together, so they all went their own separate ways, and each took a part of the house. All the friends realised their house wasnt a home without all of it, and they missed each other. My daughter enjoyed the pictures which are bright and colorful. A nice story about what makes a house a home, and about friends

Book pages There's a Wardrobe in My Monster
There's a Wardrobe in My Monster
I read it to AvaW aged 3
My daughter chose this book from the library.
Martha wants a pet, but a monster. She already has a fish, cat and dog, but has got bored of them. But she doesn't realise how difficult they are to feed. She gets a little monster from the pet shop that eats wood, he devoured lots of wood and grew very quickly. He ate her bed and then her wardrobe. Martha got fed up so took him back to the pet shop. My daughter enjoyed the book and liked the bright illustrations. She talked about what monster she would have as a pet

Book pages Sunk!
Sunk!
I read it to AvaW aged 3
Penguin blue and his friends are on a pirate adventure, looking for treasure. My daughter liked all the penguins and other animals that go on the adventure, and we liked that it was a rhyming text. It was the perfect length, with detailed, bright and colourful illustrations. My daughter liked that they found something great when on their adventure, and could rescue captain Walker plank, who had been stuck on the desert island.

Book pages Out of the Box: 25 Incredible Craft Projects You Can Make From Cardboard
Out of the Box: 25 Incredible Craft Projects You Can Make From Cardboard
I read it to MicahW aged 7 & to AvaW aged 3
Both My children enjoy making things, so this was right up their street and they couldn't wait to see what they could make from the book. I liked that was a variety of things to make and you could find what you wanted from the contents page. The instructions were clear and precise and really liked that it had pictures showing what you needed to do, so it was easy to follow the instructions. There were things to make to suit both my children, as I have a son and daughter who aren't close in age so it was good that they could both make things. My son liked that he could make things on his own, just following the instructions from the book. My son actually had a puppet project at school and we made the cardboard theatre from the book, so it came in really handy. My daughter really enjoyed making the balancing butterflies. There was nothing too complicated to make, and we are going to be trying out some more things next time they are off school. A big thumbs up for this book
