Book pages The Dinosaur That Pooped Christmas!
The Dinosaur That Pooped Christmas!
I read it to MicahW aged 5 & to AvaW aged 1
We all thought it was funny, my son was giggling away. Loved the rhymes, and we have the other books. It's a bit silly but the kids love it. Maybe more enjoyed by boys

Book pages Dear Santa
Dear Santa
I read it to AvaW aged 1
My daughter loved the authors dear zoo book, so got her this one for Christmas, but she still likes to read it now. It's a lift the flap book which most young children love. My daughter loves the last page as it has a cat which has a patch of soft material which you can feel.

Book pages Horrid Henry: Book 1
Horrid Henry: Book 1
MicahW read it aged 5
I loved this book. I could read it independently, only occasionally having to ask my mom what the really hard words were. Id heard of horrid Henry but have never watched it and really enjoyed the book, it was funny. I liked that each chapter was a different story. Liked at the end it had 20 facts about horrid Henry you didn't know. I would like to read some more horrid Henry books, and I'm sure all boys my age would love it. I took it into school to show my friends and teacher.

Book pages Gorilla
Gorilla
I read it to MicahW aged 5 & to AvaW aged 1
The illustrations are lovely.   Hannah seems like a lovely girl, who is lonely but doesn't complain. Her father doesn't have much time for her, for her birthday she asks to see a gorilla but he gets her a teddy gorilla, but in the night it comes to lifeand takes her out on an adventure. My son loved that the gorilla came to life and took Hannah on an adventure. It was a nice ending as Hannah's father took her to the zoo the next day to see the gorillas, which was what she wanted.

Book pages You Choose!
You Choose!
I read it to MicahW aged 5 & to AvaW aged 1
Loved that on each page the child has to pick something. Eg it will ask questions like where would you like to live or how would you like to travel, and there will be lots of pictures of different things they can pick from. This is one of my sons favourite books, he loves choosing, and even my 2 year old likes to choose things off each page. Gets the imagination going as well. We will choose together sometimes and talk about what we have chosen, imagining things. This book is great, would be enjoyed by all children

Book pages Owl Babies
Owl Babies
I read it to MicahW aged 5 & to AvaW aged 1
Lovely pictures of owls.   Lovely story, with nice ending. Owl mommy went out to get food for the owl babies, but they didn't know when she was coming back and wanted their mommy. She did come back for them. I used this story with my son when going back to work, when he was a bit younger, to explain like the owl mommy I had to go out but would be back later.   The children enjoyed the story, more suitable for my son than my daughter who is 18months, but she liked looking at the owls.

Book pages Peep Inside Night-Time
Peep Inside Night-Time
I read it to AvaW aged 1
My 18month old loved this book, as it was a lift the flap book, which my daughter loves getting involved with, and seeing what's under the flap. It was a nice book about the different things that are happening at night. There were lots of flaps in the book, which kept my daughter engaged.

Book pages Flat Stanley
Flat Stanley
MicahW read it aged 5
I got this book for my 5year old. Most of it I read to hi , but he read some himself. He enjoyed this book, thought it was funny. It's the story of a boy who is flattened by a notice board that falls on him. My son was excited to find out what happened next, he wanted to keep reading. Stanley goes on an adventure which us fun for the reader. Think it appeals more to boys

Book pages Would You Rather?
Would You Rather?
I read it to MicahW aged 5 & to AvaW aged 1
Asks questions about what you would rather do from a variety of options, such as drink witches brew, tickle a monkey. if you could really be anyone or do anything in the world - would you rather just be...you?  It's a great picture book, my son finds it funny and he loves choosing what he would rather do, and gets me to choose too. It's perfect for stimulating young imaginations. It's lots of fun, would be enjoyed by all

Book pages Sound Book - Fred the Fire Engine
Sound Book - Fred the Fire Engine
I read it to AvaW aged 1
This book is from a set of books called 'things that go'. This story is about fire fighter Fred who is a zebra, in his fire engine that goes to put a fire out. It's short and sweet, but the kids love it as there's a button you press which makes the fire engine noise. After we read each page, we press the button.
