Monkey Puzzle
Author: Julia Donaldson Illustrator: Axel Scheffler
Lovely story about helping little monkey to find his mummy. The illustrations are beautiful, bold and clear, both my grandsons enjoyed this book (ages 2 & 5 )  I would recommend getting this book either to buy or from the library. The story was simple but appealing.

The Smartest Giant in Town
Author: Julia Donaldson Illustrator: Axel Scheffler
Lovely colourful cover. Illustrations are lovely. I read this to my two grandsons, they both enjoyed it. Harrison my oldest grandson (5) enjoyed the rhym. The story was all about the giants kindness to the animals, and it has a happy ending when the animals thank him by giving him a crown for all his kindness. Definitely recommended to buy or get from the library.

Bug Bear
Author: Patricia Hegarty Illustrator: Carmen Saldana
Jude my grandson absolutely loved this book, in fact I have to read it to him every time I put him to bed. Size wise the book is quite large which is good as the illustrations can be easily seen. The pictures are very pleasing. The book is all in rhymes, which he enjoyed and I am sure that as he gets older he will be able to give me the ending words. The story is simple but with a lovely happy ending, when the bug goes to live with a Sloth. I would recommend this book Jude is aged 2 but his older brother Harrison aged 5 equally enjoyed the book.
