Stick Man

As always Julia Donaldson does not fail to deliever.  A wonderful, scary , sad but happy story with a lovely guest appearance at the end.  My children absolutely adore this story they love joining in as a read and the rhyming styles is brilliant.

Charlie Cook's Favourite Book
Author: Julia Donaldson Illustrator: Axel Scheffler
Not the usual story from Julia Donaldson but still good after a few reads.
The first time we read the book it felt a bit mixed up, didn't flow and a bit confusing.  However once you read it a few times it's a very clever and funny story.  My children love to look on each page to match up what's happening in the story and point all the characters out.  Worth reading a few times before deciding if you like it.

The Scarecrows' Wedding
Author: Julia Donaldson Illustrator: Axel Scheffler
Another excellent book by Julia donaldson, my children love to read her stories at bedtime and this one is Truly wondeartful. The magic of all the animals helping the wedding, the adventure mr scarecrow has to endure as with all Julia's books there is a worried part but the a happy ever after.

Sugarlump and the Unicorn
Author: Julia Donaldson Illustrator: Lydia Monks
Absolutely love this book. My children read it all the time we love how sugar lump wishes to be all kinds of different horse and each time he wishes the magical unicorn appears. Whe the unicorn appears we all sing her little song and do little actions to go with it.
My children also love that on each page they look for other characters from Julia Donaldson books so not only does the story flow and captivate them, there is also the excitement of trying to link to other stories like the mermaid and the lady bird.
A magical and fantastic book
